About
Empowering Christian writers to publish happiness.
Shribble Publishing is a small, intentional press built around one belief: that the right words, given room to breathe, can change how a person carries their day.
We publish books that sit at the intersection of story, faith, and honest reflection — from memoirs to devotionals, from gently updated classics to resources for caregivers and families walking hard roads, from discipleship tools to family resources. We’re not chasing volume. We’re chasing books that matter to the people who need them.
Every title we publish is chosen and shepherded with care, from first draft to final cover.
Shribble Publishing believes that art is human-made, reflecting our Creator. All books are written and illustrated by image-bearers.
“How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, ‘Your God reigns.'” — Isaiah 52:7
Why Shribble Publishing? (A Note About Our Name)
In the beloved book The Silver Chair by C.S. Lewis, Puddleglum, Eustace, and Jill discover they must cross the wild waste lands of the north on their quest. Puddleglum declares that the final boundary between Narnia and the wild lands of Ettinsmoor is divided by the River Shribble.
There is no bridge, and it’s near the land of giants. Puddleglum is sure that danger lurks on every side: “If we break our necks getting down the cliff, then we’re safe from being drowned in the river.”
Once they reach the river, they cross it easily — Jill doesn’t even get wet above her knees. They would have other challenges along the way, to be sure, but crossing the River Shribble would not be one of them.
In the world of publishing, there are many boundaries, giants, wilds, and wastelands. The goal of Shribble Publishing is to prepare the way for the message God has given each author and artist, and to support each individually. As we navigate the river of publishing, may we discover an easy and light crossing (Matthew 11:30).
